First Day Back...

Monday was my first day back to school and it went extremely well. I had a peace about Emersyn, but I was so worried about the students behavior... They were so excited to see me. I got a ton of hugs and they were extremely well behaved. My brother and his sweet wife Shannon and came and kept her on Monday. That was such a blessing because all I had to do was walk out the door. She was a bit fussy, but not to bad. Tuesday my mom kept her and she was such an angel and really didn't cry at all. My mom said she smiled and laughed and looked around a lot while my mom was carrying her around the house doing chores. Today my sister kept her and she slept most of the day for my sister and only fussed when the bottle was to cold for her taste...picky you think? I have been so blessed to have family keep her so far and soon Mrs. Russell from church will be keeping her one day a week and we are SO excited about that! She will love our Emersyn like her own and that could not give me more peace than to know she will be taken such good care of! Part of the reason returning to work has been pretty easy is because I have a couple lights at the end of the tunnel as well as a lot of the "old" stress I had on my plate is gone. I have been telling myself all I have to do is make it 2 weeks and then it is thanksgiving (we have a week off for), and then 3 weeks and we are out for 2 wks for Christmas break. Then the semester starts fresh and typically I would be diving head first into soccer, but I stepped down this season to focus on family! I am so thankful to all my sweet friends and family who prayed my return to work would be an easy transition and it has. I miss my sweet girl and appreciate my time with her even more when I get home each day!

  1. So glad your transition went so well. I'm glad you have a peace about Emersyn while at work. If you're ever looking for someone to keep Emersyn full time my brother's wife Kortnie who also has her own 7 month old used to nanny for several years and would love to keep Emersyn. She's hoping to keep a couple kids full time within the next year out of her home.

  2. That transition is never easy, but I am so glad you are feeling at peace about it, but regardless of that it is just so hard to leave those little ones! Enjoy your weeks with her during your holiday breaks and then time goes so quick it will be spring break before you know it and then summer and then you can love on that little one all day long again! She is super cute! :)
